In the old days in Asia, there was the legend of the White Snake known for its kindness. One day, a man saved her life, and to please him, she transformed into a woman and married her savior Xu Xian. The husband and wife jointly operated a pharmacy in which, with their medical skills.

In the classic legend of the White Snake, both Buddhist and Taoist concepts, as well as various unspoken rules of society, are described in great detail. Using the controversial love scene between of humans and monsters as a confrontation, tries to question the established rules of the world and the concept of fair justice.

 

 

Coincidentally, in ancient Greece, the birthplace of the West culture, there is also an ancient legend of the snake and the doctor. Inspired by the serpent, Asclepius use their poison as medicine and save countless lives, so that he made his ferry river Styx for the other world in a decorative element. To appease the wrath of Hades, the king of the underworld world, Zeus ended life of Asclepius.

 

In our story, where the legend it never ends, the ancient one Greek god of medicine survives from a white snake on a walking stick of, which was sacrificed opposite in the fierce blow of Zeus. Since then, the god of medicine, Asclepius, became a traveller, who reached as far as the East, in search for the reincarnated white snake. A day laterfrom a journey of a thousand years, to West Lake bridge, at Hang Ju, stared for yet once the white snake.

 

‘Ο ΜΥΘΟΣ ΤΟΥ ΛΕΥΚΟΥ ΦΙΔΙΟΥ•REMIX’marked the beginning of our alliance’s journey into original theater productions. As we reflect on the beautiful memories we’ve created along the way, we are reminded of the importance of the arts in fostering cultural exchange and understanding. Our production serves as a testament to the enduring human spirit and the capacity to overcome adversity.

And just like that, thousands of years ago, the fruit of the two of bright flowers of civilization in the East and the West merged and became this drama, just like that said the late Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis:
“Under every Greek there is a Chinese.”

We are deeply inspired to continue our journey in contributing to the world of theater and fostering cultural enrichment. Each new production represents not just an artistic endeavor but also an opportunity to bring people together, transcending geographical, linguistic, and cultural boundaries.
